Spying on your partners computer…?
YourSpy - Monitoring your partner secretly
Ok, here we go.
TakTik Bitch are about to trial a device – a program – that you can install on anyones computer and track their keystrokes.
In a survey conducted by YourSpy (the product we are about to trial) more than one third (36%!) of office workers have witnessed fellow employees getting romantic with a colleague who is not their partner at the office party. (Uh-huh, seen that. I am a statistic. Again)
More than half (53%) admitted to flirting with a co-worker at the eventĀ and 15 percent confessed to going home with a colleague after an office party for sex.
Hell, maybe I should have put a public warning on this post first – Those of an insecure nature are not to read this!! Insecure or not though, the stat’s are pretty horrific if monogamy is your game.
The figures for flirting via email or Instant Messaging are also fairly damning: -
- 23% admitted flirting with colleagues
- 17% admitted considering an affair in the workplace.
YourSpy is billed as a software solution to monitor a persons online activities. Emails, Instant Message conversations, websites visited and even keystrokes made can be secretly recorded and monitored by YourSpy.
For this trial, I am giving up the privacy of my own computer (CB, Web Manager has just saidĀ “I’m sure your computer’s not particularly interesting.” – damned by faint praise, or rather none at all)
Regardless of the boring-ness of my life, I am an exceptionally private person and am a little unsettled as we move forward as to how I will feel with this program on my computer – Lord knows how someone would feel if they found a program like this on their computer (and I know someone who has and it obliterated the final remnants of the relationship to pieces.)
So, on the blog I am opening this up – anyone want to express their thoughts on such programs – their validity or otherwise? The review on TakTik Bitch will be objective – does the program do what it says it does and is it worth it’s money (that bit is a little harder to judge) but here it’s open to debate…
