Blinking Xmas Gadget Lists.
*yawn*
The first two lists I read were fun – if only for the novelty value. Christmas gadget lists though generally tend to bore the pants off me as they are invariably much of a muchness. Pop in the Hi Definition Plasma TV, the iPhone, the Wii, Blu Ray and you’re almost done for Xmas 2008
Nonetheless I do read through the endless lists that I am sent each day because be whether they bore me to tears or not, it’s something I should know about – if only to converse with other gadgeteers as we yawn over our wine.
Everyone it seems is jumping on the bandwagon and do so with seasonal monotony – and with a wry smile, if not quite in the same vein as everyone else, here at TakTik Bitch we’re being complete hypocrites and placing our “Top Ten” on the site shortly – based on products we’ve reviewed across the last couple of months, rather than surveying our readership (We’ll probably get to that next year *sheepish grin*)
In essence though there are very few surprises until I came across research by Energizer. The list starts off and indeed finishes with the usual – not Energizers fault; they merely did the survey but Number 3 on the list made me stop – and how the hell did that get to Number 3!?
For all my mickey taking however, it did hearten me that in the midst of global ruination if the theory of Climate Change and our own part in it is to be believed, this item made it on to the list.
I’m still wondering how it got to Number 3 though…
According to Energizer, the 10 most desired gadgets this Christmas are:-
- Hi definition Plasma TV
- Nintendo Wii Fit (ok, I wouldn’t say no…)
- Honda Civic Hybrid
- Sky Plus HD (time to enjoy it would be a fine thing)
- Nintendo Wii (can I have Star Wars with that, please?)
- Digital Camera
- Laptop (Acer Aspire One, please and thank you)
- Apple iPhone (Nope, Stephen Fry can keep it)
- Apple iPod (Merry Christmas Stephen – add this to your collection)
- Blu Ray (For reasons not fit to disclose, I can see uses for this ..)
